Using both conventional 'Applicator and Squeegee' window cleaning or the 'Pure Water Pole System' AllianceUK can tackle all window cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
The Pure Water Pole System has revolutionised external window cleaning, making it a safer and a more efficient way to clean external windows. AllianceUK has a specially equipped van fitted with a large water tank, pump and on-board water purifying equipment. We use the latest carbon fibre poles to enable access to windows in excess of 45 feet (14 metres). This system uses the remarkable ability of pure water with a dissolved solid level below 9 parts per million PPM, to chemically scour the surface of glass as it seeks- at a molecular level, to attract and fuse with dirty particles on the surface of the glass - giving it a highly effective, natural cleaning action and then flush the surface clean. Tap water contains about 275 + PPM and because of this concentration of dissolved solids does not have the same ability to scour the surface, plus it is these dissolved solids which do not evaporate with the water and causes spotting on windows, which pure water does not.
The traditional 'applicator and squeegee' window cleaning is still used externally where access by pole is not possible and where water spillage is inappropriate. Also our skilled window cleaners can clean windows inside buildings because they have the ability to clean using a minimal amount of water.
When window cleaning including any work at height, a Risk Assessment is undertaken by the companies qualified (Tech IOSH) Health and Safety Officer, to ensure all work is progressed safely. In most instances they will not use ladders to access work at height but lightweight access platforms which are intrinsically safer to work from than ladders.
